CAINE 7.0: distro Linux for forensic analysis


CAINE 7.0 (Computer Aided INvestigative Environment), a Linux distro based on Ubuntu Ubuntu 14.04.01 LTS, which is suitable for the analysis of digital forensic and data recovery, whose download is available at its official site. 


We can run in LIVE DVD and LIVE USB., allowing not to touch any data on the hard disk from where you boot, and by default, CAINE mounts the partitions in a unique way of reading, which allows to preserve that type in the disk and, therefore, altering, or destroying evidence.



Comes with Linux Kernel 3.13 and with the desktop MATE 1.8.2 and only for 64-bit version. Supports UEFI/Secure Boot, and also run in LIVE mode, we can put fixed in our team, thank you to your installer systemback. We can also install it on a usb memory stick with a minimum size of 4GB , but you will need a tools of the type unetbootin to bootearlo.



In the main menu we can see a wide amount of tools, organized in different categories that facilitate the search tools at the time of the forensic analysis or security audits.
